1. About us

Laser Games Kent is operated by Laser Games Kent Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is Whitegate, Ashford Road, Harrietsham, Kent, ME17 1BJ. Our venue is located in Lenham, Kent.

By making a booking with us or attending a session at Laser Games Kent, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before booking.

2. Bookings

All bookings are made through our website at www.lasergameskent.co.uk. When you make a booking, you are entering into a contract with Laser Games Kent Limited for the provision of a laser tag session on the date and time selected.

All bookings are for exclusive hire of the venue, meaning the entire woodland and all playing areas are reserved solely for your group during your session.

The person making the booking (the "booking holder") must be aged 18 or over and is responsible for all members of the group attending the session. This includes ensuring that all participants meet the minimum age requirement and that all participants or their parents and guardians have read and understood these terms.

3. Pricing and payment

Prices for our packages are listed on our website and may be updated from time to time. The price confirmed at the time of your booking is the price you will pay.

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of £100 is required at the time of booking to secure your date. This deposit is taken through Stripe and forms part of the total booking cost.

Remaining balance

The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 14 days before your booking date. If the remaining balance is not received by this date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and the deposit will be forfeited.

Bookings made within 14 days

For bookings made less than 14 days before the session date, the full amount (including the deposit) is payable at the time of booking.

Additional players

If you wish to add additional players to your booking after the initial booking has been made, these will be charged at £25 per player up to the maximum group size of 30. Payment for additional players must be made no later than 14 days before the session or at the time they are added if within 14 days.

4. Cancellations and refunds

We understand that plans change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

More than 28 days before your booking

You may cancel and receive a full refund of your deposit. Alternatively, you may reschedule to a different date at no additional cost, subject to availability.

14 to 28 days before your booking

The deposit is non-refundable. However, you may reschedule your booking to an alternative date at no additional cost, subject to availability. The rescheduled date must be within 6 months of the original booking date.

Less than 14 days before your booking

No refunds will be given. By this point the full balance has been paid and is non-refundable. We may, at our discretion, offer the option to reschedule to an alternative date but this is not guaranteed.

No shows

If your group does not attend the session without prior notice, no refund will be given and the booking cannot be rescheduled.

Reduced group size

If fewer players attend than originally booked, the original booking price still applies. We do not offer partial refunds for reduced group sizes on the day.

Cancellations by us

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking, we will offer you either a full refund or the option to reschedule to an alternative date. This may include cancellations due to extreme weather conditions that make the venue unsafe to operate (see section 6).

5. Age requirements

All participants must be aged 8 or over to take part in a laser tag session at Laser Games Kent. There is no upper age limit.

Players aged 8 to 17 must have a parent or guardian present at the venue for the duration of the session. The parent or guardian does not need to play but must remain on site and be available if needed.

We reserve the right to refuse participation to any individual who we reasonably believe does not meet the minimum age requirement.

6. Weather

Laser Games Kent is an outdoor venue and sessions run in all weather conditions, including rain. We do not offer refunds or reschedules due to rain or cold weather. Please ensure all players dress appropriately for the conditions. We provide full camo overalls which go over normal clothing, but we recommend wearing old clothes and sturdy footwear such as trainers or boots. The woodland ground can be muddy and uneven.

In the event of extreme weather conditions that make the venue unsafe to operate, such as severe storms, high winds, flooding, or lightning, we may cancel or postpone sessions. In these circumstances we will contact you as early as possible and offer either a full refund or the option to reschedule to an alternative date.

7. Participant waiver

Every participant must complete and sign a participant waiver form before taking part in any gameplay at Laser Games Kent. For participants aged under 18, the waiver must be signed by their parent or guardian.

The waiver covers acknowledgement of the physical nature of the activity, consent to photography and video during the session, and confirmation that the participant is fit and well enough to take part.

No participant will be permitted to play without a completed waiver. We recommend completing the waiver in advance where possible to save time on arrival.

8. Health and fitness

Laser tag at Laser Games Kent is a physical outdoor activity that involves running, crouching, kneeling, and moving across uneven woodland terrain. Participants take part at their own risk and should be in a reasonable state of health and fitness to do so.

If you or any member of your group has a medical condition, disability, or additional need that may affect their ability to participate safely, please let us know at the time of booking or before the session begins. We will do our best to accommodate specific needs wherever possible.

Laser Games Kent reserves the right to refuse participation to any individual if we reasonably believe their participation could pose a risk to their own safety or the safety of others.

9. Equipment and property

All laser tag equipment, camo overalls, safety glasses, and accessories are provided by Laser Games Kent and remain our property at all times.

Players are responsible for the equipment issued to them during their session. Any equipment that is intentionally damaged, lost, or stolen during a session may be charged to the booking holder at the replacement cost of the item.

Players must handle all equipment with care and follow the instructions given by the marshals. Throwing, dropping, or misusing equipment is not permitted.

10. Safety and conduct

The safety of all participants and staff is our top priority. All players must follow the rules and instructions given during the safety briefing and by the marshals throughout the session.

The following behaviour is not permitted at Laser Games Kent:

  • Physical contact with other players. Laser tag is a non-contact activity.
  • Removing safety glasses at any point during gameplay.
  • Climbing on structures, barricades, or props unless specifically instructed to do so by a marshal.
  • Using abusive, threatening, or offensive language toward other players, staff, or marshals.
  • Attending the venue under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Bringing any weapons, sharp objects, or dangerous items onto the venue.

Our marshals have the authority to remove any individual from a session if their behaviour is deemed unsafe or disruptive to others. No refund will be given in these circumstances.

11. Photography and media

We regularly take photographs and video footage during sessions at Laser Games Kent for use on our website, social media channels, and marketing materials. By attending a session, you consent to being photographed and to those images being used for promotional purposes.

If you or any member of your group does not wish to be photographed, please inform a marshal before the session begins. We will make every effort to ensure that individual is excluded from any images captured.

Participants and their families are welcome to take their own photographs and videos at the venue for personal use. If you post content featuring Laser Games Kent on social media, we would appreciate being tagged (@LaserGamesKent) but this is not required.

12. Liability

Laser Games Kent operates an outdoor activity venue on uneven woodland terrain. While we take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of our participants, outdoor activities carry an inherent level of risk.

By taking part in a session at Laser Games Kent, you acknowledge and accept that there is a risk of minor injury, including trips, slips, and falls on uneven ground. You participate at your own risk.

Laser Games Kent Limited shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained during a session unless caused by our negligence. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Laser Games Kent Limited is not responsible for any personal belongings brought to the venue. We recommend leaving valuables in your vehicle.

13. Arrival and session timing

The booking holder and their group should arrive at the venue at least 15 minutes before the scheduled session start time. This allows time for parking, signing waivers, and getting kitted out at the armoury.

Sessions begin at the scheduled time regardless of when your group arrives. If your group arrives late, we will do our best to accommodate you but the session end time will not be extended. No refund or partial refund will be given for time lost due to late arrival.

14. HyperShock add-on

HyperShock is an optional add-on available for an additional £5 per player. It is available to players aged 18 and over only. HyperShock adds a small electric pulse to the equipment so players feel a gentle vibration when they are hit during gameplay.

Participation in HyperShock is entirely voluntary and must be opted into by each individual player. We do not recommend HyperShock for anyone with a heart condition, pacemaker, epilepsy, or who is pregnant. If in doubt, please consult your doctor before opting in.

15. Gift vouchers

If we issue gift vouchers, they are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. They may be used toward any booking at Laser Games Kent, subject to availability.

16. Complaints

If you have any concerns about your experience at Laser Games Kent, we want to hear about it. Please contact us at bookings@lasergameskent.co.uk and we will do our best to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. The terms that apply to your booking are those in effect at the time the booking was made.

18. Governing law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or from your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
